However. Before you go any further, you should know:
I see nothing particularly desirable in doing things the way everyone else does them simply because that's the way everybody does them. I don't mind being the only one doing things a certain way, so long as I'm sure that I'm right. What I can't stand is people who can't be openminded enough to give an idea--any idea!--a chance to prove itself, and then, if they don't agree, let it be. Because it isn't neccesarily their business.
It is the mark of an educated mind to be able to entertain an idea without accepting it.

That aside, a little about myself, if you're interested. I write and tell stories compulsively. I love creating cultures and characters (same thing, as I see it), and I'd love to tell people about them, so if I mention that I'm writing a culture or character, poke me until I tell you about it. I read like crazy. I'll enjoy most books you throw at me (although I won't enjoy having it thrown at me in the first place, because books are heavy), and I like talking to other writers. My taste in books runs from the chilling psychological thrillers to lighthearted comedies, but really, anything that's well done and comes from the heart. I especially like revolution stories, such as the French revolution or 'The Moon is a Harsh Mistress' by Robert A. Heinlein. I like learning how things work. I like learning, period. I like fixing things, especially things that were very old and broken. I homeschool. I tend to get wacky when I'm very excited. I love art. I paint with watercolors and draw with pencils and oil pastels, but I probably won't show my pictures to you. However, I do enjoy going crazy with a digital camera whenever I have a really good subject, and those I may show you. What I love best in any art is color and movement, strange angles and juxtapositions that make you go, "Huh?" I tend to be lazy. If I seem schizophrenic, sorry. My personality, views, tastes, et cetera, seem to change with my mood. Maybe I'll smooth out someday. I'm really intense about everything I do, but I know the importance of not taking myself too seriously all the time. I'm LDS (Mormon, if you'd recognise that--it's a religion), and I really do believe in it. I came to that conclusion on my own, not because I was raised that way. So, if you please, slap me if I start swearing, yes?
